Listening to the Wuthering Heights audiobook has been an endurance run. D: I think the most I enjoyed myself was the chapter when Catherine I died, since I actually genuinely felt sad for Cathy and Heathcliff. Most of the time, I'm going through the book with begrudging patience and trying to analyze why the characters are behaving the way they do rather than throw in the towel, declare how much everybody sucks, and summon meteors to crash into Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange like I did in my last reading attempts. It still remains the book with the most difficult and unlikable cast for me to deal with outside of Certain Shitty Books That Will Not Be Named. Which always throws me off because I don't mind dysfunctional casts; I even encourage them, especially if they're at least interesting or entertaining to read about! There's just something about the Wuthering cast that really grinds my gears, though funny enough I don't despise Heathcliff nearly as much this time around. And the kids/second gen are more tolerable by sheer virtue of how much they keep getting screwed over and manipulated by the adults. And Edgar is pretty much... there. Unable to do anything. I felt sorry for Isabella, but she's dead now. :(

I'm having a lot of fun playing Ultra Moon again! :3 I actually got disappointed when my 3DS got low on power since I was ready to do an enormous grind session with my grass/water/ground types before we take on Olivia. Half my team is Eevees! :3 (Kris the Umbreon, Mercury the Vaporeon, and Tatara the Leafeon. I have Butter the Ribombee, which is why I shockingly don't have a Sylveon) I'm hoping to evolve my Dartrix Olan Hoyt (or should I say, Olan Hoot? (rimshot)) into a Decidueye soon. Battle Royale is ludicrously hard, but I want to see if I can crack the code to getting better at it, RIP

Five more days until the penultimate episode of The Amazing Digital Circus, aaaaaaaaaaaa

Name: Sam
Age group: Early 20's
Country: Australia
Subscription/Access Policy: I don't have anything that isn't public rn, that could change, I'm new to dreamwidth so still figuring everything out.

Main Fandoms: Haikyuu!, sk8 the infinity, Cute high earth defense club LOVE!, Cute high earth defense club HAIKARA,
Other Fandoms: Powerpuff Girls Z, Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun, WataNare
Fannish Interests: I read a lot of fanfiction, and write it too, but I write slower than I can read, lol
OTPs and Ships: Nanjo Kojiro/Sakurayashiki Kaoru (sk8), Miya Atsumu/ Suna Rintarou (haikyuu), Bokuto Koutarou/Kuroo Tetsurou (haikyuu), Kozume Kenma/Yamamoto Taketora (haikyuu), Nishinoya Yuu/Tanaka Ryuunosuke (haikyuu), Kuroo Tetsurou/Sawamura Daichi (haikyuu)

While these are my main ships in haikyuu, I have read all sorts of ships and if the story is well-written I will read most ships for haikyuu. Miya Atsumu/ Suna Rintarou (haikyuu) is my ultimate long standing favourite though.

I also have ships that have stuck around even tho I'd say I have left the fandom, mainly Voltron and BNHA, I left BNHA cause I dropped the show years ago and now only read fics of a couple of my favourite pairings that don't go into the actual plot of the show (I do not plan to pick it back up). Whereas with Voltron I was there as the last season at least was dropping but I only go back occasionally only for certain tropes or certain ships.

These ships are primarily, Bakugou Katsuki/Kaminari Denki (BNHA), Lance/Shiro (Voltron).

I like to post about: I've been posting my fanfiction so far, may post some original work, may post some reviews of whatever I'm watching or whatever, may post about stuff that comes up as I learn Japanese that I find interesting.
About Me/Other Info: I'm a writer, read a lot of BL manga and watch BL shows. I love mind reading and fake dating as tropes, especially. I dabble in truth potion/serum works quite a bit too. (If I'm being honest, in most of the fandoms I read for I've read almost every mind reading fic on ao3 and even started just reading random pairings for fandoms I'm not in just cause I wanted to read mind reading as a trope)

I would love to brainstorm haikyuu fanfic with others, or talk about the show especially.

Creative Jam

Welcome to the 152nd Crowdfunding Creative Jam! This session will run Saturday, March 14-Sunday, March 15. The theme is "Opportunity."

Crowdfunding Creative Jam

Everyone is eligible to post prompts, which may be words or phrases, titles, images, etc. Prompters may request a specific creator, but everyone else may still use that prompt if they wish. Prompts may specify a particular character/world/etc. but creators may use the prompt for something else anyway and post the results. Prompters are still encouraged to post mostly prompts that anyone could use anywhere, as this maximizes the chance of having creators make something based on your prompt. Please title your comment "Prompt" or "Prompts" when providing inspiration so these are easy to find.

Prompt responses may also be treated as prompts and used for further inspiration. For example, a prompt may lead to a sketch which leads to a story, and so on. This kind of cascading inspiration is one of the most fun things about a collective jam session.

Everyone is eligible to use prompts, and everyone who wants to use a given prompt may do so, for maximum flexibility of creator choice in inspiration. You do not have to post a "Claim" reply when you decide to use a prompt, but this does help indicate what is going on so that other prompters can spread out their choice of prompts if they wish.

Creators are encouraged, but not required, to post at least one item free. Likewise, sharing a private copy of material with the prompter is encouraged but not required. Creative material resulting from prompts should be indicated in a reply to the prompt, with a link to the full content elsewhere on the creator's site (if desired); a brief excerpt and/or description of the material may be included in the reply (if desired). It helps to title your comment "Prompt Filled" or something like that so these are easy to identify. There is no time limit on responding to prompts. However, creators are encouraged to post replies sooner rather than later, as the attention of prompters will be highest during and shortly after the session.

Some items created from prompts may become available for sponsorship. Some creators may offer perks for donations, linkbacks, or other activity relating to this project. Check creator comments and links for their respective offerings.

Prompters, creators, and bystanders are expected to behave in a responsible and civil manner. If the moderators have to drag someone out of the sandbox for improper behavior, we will not be amused. Please respect other people's territory and intellectual property rights, and only play with someone else's characters/setting/etc. if you have permission. (Fanfic/fanart freebies are okay.) If you want to invite folks to play with something of yours, title the comment something like "Open Playground" so it's easy to spot. This can be a good way to attract new people to a shared world or open-source project, or just have some good non-canon fun.

Boost the signal! The more people who participate, the more fun this will be. Hopefully we'll see activity from a lot of folks who regularly mention their projects in this community, but new people are always welcome. You can link to this session post or to individual items created from prompts, whatever you think is awesome enough to recommend to your friends.

I watched Casablanca this morning, that's such a good movie! They don't make them like that anymore.
The pills they gave me don't seem to be working, I still have the same pain and I've heard muscle relaxants are supposed to work fast. I'm been taking them since yesterday afternoon, and on top of that you're not supposed to drink while you're taking them so I'm not sure what to do when St. Patrick's Day happens (other than watch Father Ted. I love Father Ted, it's hilarious!)

I had the blood work done this morning and got some pills at the pharmacy this afternoon. I just hope it isn't like when I first got arthritis and they put me on meds and then the arthrtis came right the fuck back and the stupid doctor didn't bother telling me that was going to happen. (she KNEW the meds she gave me at the time were just supposed to temporarily relieve the symptoms but chose to allow me to think it was some sort of cure. Thank fuck I'm not going to her anymore.) It also occurred to me I may have gotten that pain from using my cane on the wrong side so I switched to see if that helps.
Two very good surprises. I got a call from L. last night and we went out and had a good time and I don't have to pay my electric bill this month because the check was late last month so I paid it over the phone and they gave me a double credit.
